FPV drones deliberately landed as booby traps with proximity and acoustic sensors

Published

A Russian milblogger warns — with video — that FPV operators are deliberately putting drones down in apparently intact condition to lure soldiers into approaching. According to the account, the device carried a proximity (volume) sensor and maintained an acoustic link that let the operator listen for nearby activity, detonating remotely when two people were heard in conversation. The advice is directed at military and civilians alike: never approach a downed drone found in good condition.
