FPV drone destroys T-72B3A with Arena-M active protection system and anti-drone cage fitted

Published 24 July 2026

Footage circulating on 24 July purportedly shows an FPV drone strike on a T-72B3A tank near the village of Mayak on the Dobropilje direction that was fitted with both an Arena-M active protection module — identifiable from the characteristic turret-side housing — and a standard anti-drone mesh cage. If confirmed, the strike adds to evidence that Arena-M and passive mesh protection are not reliably defeating FPV attacks in current frontline conditions.
