CSG, Mossberg and Palladyne AI develop SwarmShot autonomous counter-drone interceptors

Published

US companies CSG, Mossberg and Palladyne AI are jointly developing SwarmShot, a counter-UAS system built around reusable interceptor quadcopters (initial platform: Gremlin-X) armed with smoothbore munitions. The system is governed by SwarmOS, decentralised autonomy software that distributes target assignment and coordination among the interceptors without a central controller, aiming to defeat saturation swarms more cheaply than missile-based point-defence systems.
