China's HE-1A cargo drone begins serial production with 50% payload ratio

Shaanxi Huaying Zhongxing Aviation Technology rolled the first production HE-1A fixed-wing cargo drone off its Weinan, Shaanxi assembly line on 29 October. The aircraft has a 4-tonne maximum takeoff weight, a 2-tonne payload, and a payload fraction above 50%—described as exceptional for a drone of this class. The 50,000 m² facility operates three assembly lines with capacity for over 100 units per year; the aircraft is scheduled to appear at the Zhuhai air show in December and is targeted for airworthiness certification by end-2027.
