Belarus develops bolt-on anti-drone protection kit for BelGrad MLRS (BM-21 Grad variant)

Published 29 October 2026

The Belarusian enterprise ‘2566 Radio-Electronic Armament Repair Plant’ has presented a three-module bolt-on protection package for the BelGrad multiple-launch rocket system, Belarus’s domestic modification of the BM-21 Grad. The modules separately protect the crew cab, secondary ammunition storage and the launch unit against grenade-dropping drones using RGD-5, F-1 and VOG-17 munitions. The developer states installation requires no specialist assistance. No independent data on effectiveness against FPV strikes has been published.
