Auterion Talon kinetic drone interceptor operates without GPS or communications

German company Auterion has developed the Talon drone interceptor, which destroys targets through direct kinetic collision launched from a compact hand-held platform. The manufacturer claims it can autonomously track targets and operate in GPS-denied and jammed environments, with no communications link required. A Russian UAV development channel notes the Russian ‘Sokol’ drone fills a comparable interception role and, in their assessment, is better engineered than the Talon for frontline use.
