6,225 Ukrainian drones targeted Moscow region in July; 780 intercepted near capital

Moscow Mayor Sobyanin’s published July figures show 6,225 UAVs directed at the Moscow region during the month, of which only 780 were destroyed on close approach to the capital; the bulk were intercepted in outlying and border regions by the layered air-defence cordon. Russian analysts cite this as evidence of the defensive depth on the Moscow axis while acknowledging notable penetrations: strikes on the Kapotnya oil refinery and repeated hits on Wildberries logistics warehouses.
