Russian MoD claims 105 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones intercepted

Bottom line

Russian MoD claims air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 105 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over multiple southern and western regions in a single day.

Why it matters

Indicates high intensity of Ukrainian long-range drone campaigns against Russian border regions, requiring enhanced air defense monitoring and response capabilities for NATO forces monitoring the southern flank.

Russian Ministry of Defense reports that air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 105 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones between 08:00-20:00 MSK over Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Krasnodar, Crimea, and the Black Sea. This high volume of intercepted drones suggests sustained Ukrainian long-range drone operations against Russian border regions and southern military infrastructure. The claim is consistent with recent Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries and industrial targets.
