Russian MoD showcases Fox-2 interceptor drone and Geran-4 anti-radar strikes

Bottom line

Russian channels highlight the operational deployment of the 'Fox-2' interceptor drone and Geran-4 UAVs conducting anti-radar strikes against Ukrainian air defense systems in the Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Why it matters

Allied air defense units must assume their radar emissions are being tracked and targeted by specialized anti-radar drones, requiring stricter emissions control and rapid relocation protocols.

The Russian MoD has released footage of its ‘Fox-2’ interceptor drone, claiming successful engagements and highlighting it as a key counter-drone capability (uav_tech-37174). Concurrently, Russian sources report that Geran-4 Sikher UAVs successfully destroyed two Ukrainian 35D6 radar stations near Starokazache and Andreevka, as well as striking a road bridge near Mayaky (mod_russia-67492, mod_russia-67494, Voenacher-96784). These reports indicate a maturing Russian capability to use loitering munitions not just for strikes, but for SEAD/DEAD missions against integrated air defense networks, complementing their growing interceptor drone fleet.
