Russian MoD claims 777 Ukrainian drones intercepted overnight

Bottom line

Russian MoD claims 777 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were intercepted or destroyed overnight over 15 regions and the Black/Caspian seas, citing high PVO effectiveness.

Why it matters

If accurate, this indicates a massive scale of Ukrainian drone operations and Russian air defense capacity. However, such high numbers are often inflated; NATO analysts should treat this as a claim of high-intensity aerial assault rather than confirmed interception statistics.

Russian MoD claims 777 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were intercepted or destroyed overnight over 15 regions and the Black/Caspian seas. This claim is part of a broader narrative of high air defense effectiveness, though Ukrainian sources report significant drone activity and hits on Russian infrastructure, including Saratov and Engels.
