Russian units strike Ukrainian drone ground control antennas

Bottom line

Russian milbloggers claim that drone operators from the 394th Guards Regiment and 57th Guards MSHB have successfully struck and destroyed Ukrainian ground control station antennas and network control units in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

Why it matters

This highlights a shift in Russian tactics towards targeting the ground segment of Ukrainian drone operations, specifically C2 nodes and antennas, rather than just the airframes. NATO analysts should monitor for increased Russian precision strikes on fixed or semi-fixed ground control infrastructure.

Multiple Russian channels report targeted strikes on Ukrainian drone infrastructure. The 394th Guards Regiment claims to have struck remote antennas of ground control stations for Ukrainian drones. Similarly, the 57th Guards MSHB reports destroying enemy NCU (network control unit) antennas on the Zaporizhzhia direction. These actions are described as efforts to hinder Ukrainian drone system usage by disrupting the command and control link.
