Wildberries logistics hub struck by drones in Tambov

Bottom line

Russian channels report a drone strike on a Wildberries logistics hub in Kotovo, Tambov Oblast, causing a 100,000 sqm fire and prompting air quality warnings.

Why it matters

The strike demonstrates the reach of Ukrainian UAVs into Russian rear areas, threatening critical supply chains and civilian infrastructure. This validates Russian concerns about rear-area security and may accelerate the implementation of tax deferrals for logistics operators affected by drone attacks.

Multiple Russian sources, including MIG Rossii and Rybar, report that a drone strike hit a Wildberries logistics facility in Kotovo, Tambov Oblast, on the night of August 25-26. The attack caused a massive fire covering approximately 100,000 square meters, leading local authorities to restrict movement and issue air quality warnings. The incident underscores the vulnerability of Russian rear-area e-commerce and logistics infrastructure to Ukrainian UAV strikes, with Rybar noting that 16 drones were shot down in the broader Tambov region overnight.
