TUSAŞ reveals ANKA III carrying SÜPER ŞİMŞEK jet UAVs

Bottom line

Turkish Aerospace Industries released footage of its ANKA III stealth drone carrying two SÜPER ŞİMŞEK jet-powered UAVs, signaling a new air-launched loitering munition capability.

Why it matters

The integration of jet-powered loitering munitions on stealth platforms like the ANKA III represents a significant leap in standoff strike capabilities for NATO allies, potentially allowing for deeper penetration of integrated air defense systems (IADS) with high-speed, low-observable payloads.

UAV tech channel uav_tech reports that Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) has released footage of the ANKA III stealth drone carrying two SÜPER ŞİMŞEK jet-powered UAVs on external pylons. This demonstrates a ‘mothership’ capability where a strategic stealth platform can deploy smaller, high-speed loitering munitions, potentially extending strike range and saturation capabilities.
