Roboneers is a Ukrainian defense technology firm founded in 2014 and headquartered in Kyiv. The company specializes in the development of multi-domain unmanned systems, focusing on remote weapon stations and robotic combat modules designed for use in high-intensity conflict zones. Its product portfolio includes the Sabre Remote Weapon Station (RWS), the Lynx Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), the combined SabLynx system, the WarDog unmanned aerial vehicle, and the Shadow AI Confidential Skipper control unit. The firm positions itself as a provider of practical, battle-tested solutions that integrate hardware with software add-ons to enhance situational awareness and force protection.

The company’s primary ground platform, the Lynx UGV, is a wheeled robotic system designed for logistics and combat support. According to user reports from the front lines, the Lynx is utilized for delivering ammunition, evacuating wounded personnel, and performing reconnaissance missions in hazardous environments. The vehicle is equipped with built-in cameras and navigation systems, allowing operators to control it from a safe distance. The Lynx features specialized wheels filled with a substance that allows it to continue moving even after sustaining damage from anti-personnel mines. The company has also developed the SabLynx, a variant that integrates the Sabre RWS with the Lynx chassis, providing the ground vehicle with offensive capabilities. The Sabre RWS is a remote-controlled turret system that allows operators to engage targets from within protected shelters, reducing the risk to soldiers during shelling. The company has introduced variants such as the Sabre K-2, which can be configured with dual Kalashnikov rifles.

Roboneers systems have been deployed by various units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The 47th Mechanized Brigade “Magura” and the Honor Brigade of the Da Vinci Wolves Battalion have reported using the Lynx for logistics and medical evacuation. The 25th Airborne Brigade “Sicheslav” and the 28th Mechanized Brigade have also utilized the Lynx, with the latter noting the use of Steam Deck consoles for controlling the robots. The 56th Motorized Brigade and the 5th Separate Assault Brigade have employed the Sabre RWS for defensive operations. The 501st Separate Marine Battalion has cited the Lynx for its role in sustaining logistical operations. Additionally, the 14th Brigade has been reported to operate Lynx platforms against enemy drone threats.

In terms of international cooperation, Roboneers has established a joint production partnership with German firm ARX Robotics to scale the manufacturing of robotic complexes. The company has also expanded its control capabilities, adding Wi-Fi control options for its UGVs to enhance operational flexibility. The firm’s systems have been featured in media coverage regarding Ukraine’s drone capabilities, including the country’s first drone parade on the 35th anniversary of its restored independence. The company’s technology is marketed as a means to “destroy the enemy and save the lives of our soldiers,” emphasizing the reduction of human exposure to direct fire. The firm continues to seek global partners to co-test and refine its multi-domain unmanned systems.
