Kara Dag Technologies
Ukrainian counter-drone firm building portable RF and acoustic detectors and networked mesh-triangulation software.
Kara Dag Technologies is a Kyiv-based counter-drone company, founded in 2023, that builds portable radio-frequency and acoustic detectors and the networked software that ties them together. Rather than relying on a single large radar, its approach spreads detection across many small, cheap nodes that share data and triangulate a drone’s position between them — a distributed answer to the swarms of small FPV and Shahed-type aircraft now saturating the front.
Its flagship is the Obriy line: a wearable RF detector that picks up common drone control links at a few kilometres, with direction-finding, the ability to intercept a drone’s analog video feed, and integration with electronic-warfare systems, plus a stationary Obriy-S variant for fixed sites such as airfields and plants. The company also makes Stribog, an ultra-light signal-intelligence module light enough to fly on a drone itself. Kara Dag keeps its executives’ names private, citing security; its public face is a co-founder serving as chief operating officer.
The firm is backed by the US fund Green Flag Ventures, has announced a strategic partnership with Anduril around counter-UAS data, and in May 2026 joined a Swarmer -led consortium building a deployable drone-interception system. It states it has delivered more than 3,000 detector units to Ukrainian forces — a company figure that has not been independently verified.

Obriy
Wearable RF drone detector that picks up FPV and DJI-type drones across the common control bands at a few kilometres, with direction-finding, analog-video interception, and electronic-warfare integration. A stationary Obriy-S variant covers fixed sites.
-
Stribog
An ultra-light (under 0.5 kg) autonomous signal-intelligence module that can be mounted on a drone.
