DevDroid, founded in 2023 and led by Yuriy Poritsky, builds ground robots and the control software that runs them. Its Droid Box system, cleared by Ukraine’s Defence Ministry for military use, acts as a common operating layer across eight different unmanned-ground-vehicle platforms and is reported to be fielded on more than a thousand machines, holding several redundant communication links including LTE and Starlink so the robot stays controllable when one channel is jammed.

The company’s armed Droid TW vehicles mount a remotely operated machine gun — 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm — paired with a ballistic computer and AI-assisted target detection that helps the operator spot and track threats, while keeping the decision to fire with a human. DevDroid’s robots have been reported in combat with Ukrainian brigades; those engagement accounts are disclosed by the manufacturer and carried by single outlets, and should be read as such.
